Off the Hook

What I've been busy learning recently, with the help of a book from the library and tutorials from YouTube...

Up next, learning to follow a pattern.

  1. Looks good! It must be the thing to do this winter. A friend of mine finally learned how to crochet and made her 7 year son an afghan for his bed. I have crocheted for years. It is relaxing.

  2. Oh how pretty! I just recently started too! I made one blanket with a huge hook (Q?) I think and just a single crochet. You use 2 strands of yarn together (so it's thick enough for the mondo hook.) Your first row determines the width then just keep going till it's long enough....no pattern really. It turned out nice! Good luck and keep going!

  3. I don't know if I'm brave enough for a blanket just yet, but using a larger hook may be the key, I'm sure it would go faster! I've done two scarfs so far, now Joe is screaming for one of his own so think I'll have to get to work on another! :)
